Hi,

I have a quick question about your blog, do you think you could
email me?

David

Re: Make It So: Jean-Luc Picard’s Guide to Living Life

I stumbled here via some random weight loss blogging, and just had to comment. I'm not even a big sci-fi or Trek fan, but Jean Luc Picard is clearly one of the baddest mofos in all of speculative fiction/genre tv what have you.

So props.

Also, if motivation from a random internet stranger is worth anything, I see you were going to kick some ass on the Rebel Fitness stress stuff, and the blog hasn't been updated in a good long while. Hope you've been busy kicking ass in the gym and so too busy to update here.

I'm getting back into blogging my weight loss, as well. Feel free to drop by my weigh loss blog, Will Phillips is Becoming.

Re: My Introduction To Hashing… Or The Best Running Event Ever!

New to site, I am considering it but can't run cause knee injury, NEED simplified versions of exercise. BUT, I need to start fitness today! ASAP I'm not getting any younger or HUNGRIER LOL? Not funny huh?

Re: Make It So: Jean-Luc Picard’s Guide to Living Life

I absolutely love this! What a great role-model!

Re: Titsworth and the Rebel Strength Guide Contest

I hope things are going well with your challenge! The pants measurement and your actual waist measurement are fine. Depending on the brand of pants, they can be up to 6 or even 7 inches different from your waist. You would think that since they're measured in inches they would be close to actual size. No such luck! Very silly.

Good luck in the rest of your challenge!

Re: Awkwardly Fat

God, this is exactly how I feel. I legit typed into google what I felt and that was awkwardly fat. I was 342.6 when I started in november of 2010. Now I'm 280. I'm still a bison when i look in the mirror. I don't want to shop at Saks quite yet. I'm too big to fit in my old clothes so I shop at tj maxx, and marshals. I see a bunch of stuff that would fit me when I was 340 but absolutely nothing for my size and lweight rite now. I'm starting to get apathetic to weight loss but to be honest the only thing that's motivating me is meeting up with my ex girl friend, showing her what she's missing out on, hitting it and quitting it.

Re: Titsworth and the Rebel Strength Guide Contest

Actually luck would probably help :).

Thanks man!

Re: Titsworth and the Rebel Strength Guide Contest

Awesome man, I'm excited to see how you do - good luck!
I'll definitely let you know when I get farther along. It's been a while since I've built a website like the project I'm working on. I forgot how much goes into it, and it all changes so fast. I'm having fun though.

Re: A Very Belated Geek Into Shape Update

Great work in 2010 man, and it looks like you've got some awesome goals laid out for 2011. I'm excited to hear about your new project, and I'd love to help out and be one of the lucky beta testers :)

Re: A Geek’s Guide to Going to the Gym

That's the great article! I'll probably mostly try to cut down my time. I still think I might try to take one "long" run each week, just to see how far I can run.

Re: Outie Like 5k’s!

Thanks Brandon! I think a sub 25-minute 5k is completely realistic. If I were you I'd go for that and then start thinking about longer distances. However, I actually got faster when I started running longer. Feel free to email me if you'd like to chat more. It would be easier to go into more details and ask more questions. runningbecauseican (at) gmail (dot) com

Re: Outie Like 5k’s!

Awesome job on your first 5k! I even signed up as the team captain for a race my company is sponsoring. I should have mentioned you in my shout outs too!

I want to get sub 25 minutes for some reason, but I also want to start focusing on longer distances. Should I try intermingling my goals, 1 day speed run, the next distance, or should I just focus on speed or distance?

Re: Outie Like 5k’s!

Racing IS addictive. The best way to keep yourself running is to keep signing up for races.
